Hytte
The Hytte
The Hytte — Where Danish design meets your garden
Starting at $12,500
Overview
The Hytte reimagines the garden shed as a piece of architecture. Rooted in the Danish tradition of funktionalisme — where every element serves a purpose and nothing is superfluous — our garden sheds transform utilitarian storage into something you're proud to have in your landscape. Inside, the space is organized with the same care a cabinetmaker gives to a fitted wardrobe. Optional built-in shelving uses mortise-and-tenon joinery, not screws. The double barn doors swing wide enough for a riding mower or a winter's worth of firewood. Transom windows above the door line flood the interior with soft, diffused light without sacrificing wall space. Outside, the gable roof sheds New England snow loads while cedar shingle roofing weathers to the same silver-gray as a Skagen fishing hut. This is a shed that belongs in a garden — not hidden behind one.

Danish Design, American Craftsmanship
Every Lunden Outdoors the hytte is rooted in the Danish design tradition: form follows function, materials are honest, and beauty comes from proportion and restraint — never decoration. We don't add what isn't needed. We refine what is.
Theis Lunden trained at the Danish School of Furniture Making, where he learned that a joint should be as beautiful as the piece it holds together. That philosophy extends to every structure we build — from the visible timber frame to the hidden fasteners.
“A good structure should feel inevitable — like it couldn't have been built any other way.”
— Theis Lunden, Founder
